Approval Circuit Configuration
The Approval Circuit defines the workflow for approving employee time cards within the system. It ensures that each time card is reviewed and validated according to your company’s authorization structure before being finalized.
You can access this setting by navigating to:
Security → Company → Edit Approval Circuit
⚙️ Configuration Example
If the Approval Circuit is not set up, approvals will not function correctly.
A typical configuration includes:
-
Supervisor Sign Off: Supervisors are responsible for reviewing and approving their team’s time cards.
-
Administrator Proxy Approval: Administrators can approve on behalf of supervisors when necessary (proxy mode).
Once a time card has been signed off:
-
It becomes locked to prevent further edits.
-
If additional changes are required, it can be reverted to reopen it for modification and reapproval.
💡 Best Practices
-
Always define at least one approval level (e.g., Supervisor or Manager) to maintain accountability.
-
Limit proxy access to administrators or trusted users only.
-
Regularly review approval permissions to ensure they align with your organization’s hierarchy.
